This year's group of students will be able to attend one session in Cuyahoga or Lake County. the Cuyahoga session will be held from June 23rd through the 27th and the Lake County session will be held from July 28th through August 1st The Cuyahoga session will include an orientation, bocce ball at Alta House, a visit to the West Side Market, a tour of Channel 3 and a tour of Tri-C. The Lake County session will include orientation, a visit to Lake MetroParks, Palisades Bowling, a Captains Baseball Game, and a tour of Lakeland College. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the field trips, and SIL will pay for all admission fees. The goals of SYP is to promote self-sufficiency and independence; to provide participants with life enriching experiences; foster an interest in the community; and to teach participants that a "disability" does not mean an "inability" to enjoy the world and to be a contributing member of society. The cost for each session is $75 (non-refundable) per student and is due along with the application packet no later than June 6th for the Cuyahoga session, and no later than July 11th for the Lake County session.
